Thirassia Bike Tours and Walks
The island of Thirassia is the wild island of this archipelago still relatively untouched by mass tourism.
Just a few minutes by local boat will bring you to the small port of Thirassia.
Here you will find a fair number of tavernas which mainly feed a large number of day-trippers arriving on day excursion boats.
Once on the island, you can join in with organized walking or bike tours of this rugged island.
There are 2 options for bike tours.
To make life a little easier try an e-bike, if your fit and able then take a regular mountain bike.
The walking tours are not so long in distance but will require some good level of fitness due to the rough terrane, heat and uphill sections.

Venetsanos Winery
Santorini has some great wines, not so cheap but that’s because low production compared to the likes of France, Italy, Spain, and the new World wine areas.
However, you can enjoy a few glasses and an amazing view from Venesanos Winery located just outside the village of Megalochori.
This place has a wonderful location, first visit the winery to see how its all done then take a seat on the beautiful terrace with Caldera views.
The best time to visit is early evening to enjoy the famous Santorini Sunsets.

Enjoy Delicious Greek Food
The island of Santorini has many restaurants and tavernas. Unfortunately, many of them offer mediocre food often at very high prices.
To enjoy good quality Greek food made fresh each day is a real joy. If your looking for a great place to eat with freshly prepared food make your way to Ouzeri located in the capital of Fira.

Beach Days
Santorini is not blessed with the best beaches in the Aegean but still offers some great beach days.
The best beaches and beach lounge bars are in the area of Perissa or Perivolos.
This part of the island has good tourist facilities including a couple of good water sports centers.
For a great day out maybe consider a day excursion to the beautiful island of Ios and Manganari Beach.
During the high summer, boats go most days and for a perfect beach day experience, Manganari is hard to beat.
